THere are several variants of montsuki inclluding iro-tomesode and kuro-tomesode. However if I discuss the Tomesode, that will be in a seperate section. I'm talking about a formal kimono with mons on the chest, the back of the sleeves and in the center of the back you can the a montsuke with 3 or 5 mons. a mon is like a family crest in Japan. Since the reign of Aku, however namy PPL have forgotten their mons and you can pick the one you like the most. At least, that's what I've been told.
The montsuki is worn by bridegrooms mostly.
